I agree with Graham,

We have been using mks (now Vertical Sky) Implementer for just over a year.

Our setup includes 5-BPCS 6 Production and 20 develop/quality/user test environments on two AS/400s.

It handles AS/SET relatively well although most of what we do is RPG.  It allows a lot of flexibility in how it is setup and with that, the learning curve can be long.

Invest in a training class.  I took a class at the Chicago office and it was well worth it.

Implementer has made life much easier.

        Subject:        Change Management

We are relatively new to the AS400/BPCS 6.1.01 mixed-mode environment with
mostly Unix and VMS experience (although we have hired some good long-time
BPCS developer/analysts). Our development will be in AS/SET for existing BPCS
stuff and in either AS/SET or RPG/IV for new stuff. We will have two AS/400
boxes (one for development and one for production) managing the BPCS
application with clients in somewhere around 16 offices/plants spread out
throughout North America and developers in at least four different offices.

We are currently reviewing our Change Control and Management options. The
four that have been presented to us are:

SoftLanding's Turnover
MKS's Implementer
IBM's AS/400 Solution
Our own home grown solution (hah hah - but I have to cover it)

The leaders appear to be Turnover and Implementer because they can manage the
AS/SET environment.

Could y'all (we have some southern offices) help me? I would like to hear
from you with pros and cons, experiences with any of the above etc. All
bricks and bouquets greatly appreciated.

TIA

Gord Royle
