i have also been looking at several PC based imaging systems and the common
reply from the vendors is that they will accept an ASCII text file. for example
if i wanted to save a copy if all invoices created, they would want me to
create a formatted text file of the invoice information on the AS/400, transmit
it down to the pc (probably using FTP), and they would import this file into
their system and design an forms overlay to make it look pretty.

there was one vendor, SPY ViSION, that was an as/400 based imaging system and i
believe that they could import files directly from the AS/400 spool file.

We are looking for an Imaging system that will interface with BPCS. I
was just wondering what types of systems are being used by this group of
users and their satisfaction or recommendations.

We have information on Lazar Vault, RVI - Real Vision, and Gauss.

Thanks

Roger
