Yes, but that is today.  If Gores fails to keep BPCS current with technology 
(which, in my estimation, SSA has already fallen behind the curve), you'll 
eventually reach the point of diminishing return where you have to pay people 
more to work on BPCS than you can charge the customers to do the work.  
MAPICS and DMAS are prime examples -- try and find someone who even speaks 
well of them, let alone wants to work on them!

Perhaps I should have clarified that.  In the context of the mentioned 
alternatives, of which NexGen is one, there _are_ alternatives.  Heck, I'm 
one.  What I _meant_ was an alternative that could support those KRSO 
programs that are unobservable and for which no source is provided.  I'm 
still waiting to hear of someone that has a working copy of ODW, and can use 
ODO for those programs still running in it.  HP version?  New releases?

When I think "alternatives" in the original context, I think of fully 
_replacing_ SSA, not making changes to their code...
