The only thing missing from all the responses you got about special lines,
was the information that you can NOT setup these special charges in ORD to
automatically calculate based on units.     Whether you add one special
line per order "regular" line, or sum the entire qty then create one
special line for the order, you must manually do the math.   (There is some
cool stuff you can do with PURCHASING special charges to calc based on reg
lines, but that functionality is not in ORD special charges.)

There are some other options in Promotions and Deals.   From our
conversations at MBUG, I recall that you already use PRO for some special
pricing issues.  A different "promotion" may meet your needs better for
these charges too.

I need to add some special charges to orders.  We know what the $ amount of
the charge is per unit.  The $ amount could be added to the price of each
item on the invoice, or else the $ amount could be multiplied by the total
#
of units shipped and added as a separate line on the invoice.  I very
vaguely remember hearing that this could be done when we were first
introduced to BPCS.  We didn't need it then so I kind of forgot about it.
Now I can't find any reference to it.  Did I dream it up, or can someone
point me in the right general direction so I can see if there is standard
BPCS functionality that will work for us?
