They are still in business & when the dust clears, GT will own 75%
info about the new owner from http://www.gores.com

In the USA, bankrupsy is often a ploy to dump folks you owe money to, and
write off otherwise legal debts & sometimes it is a wake up call to force
people to clean up their act. It is seldom the end of the world. I had a
friend who was earning 3 times as much as I was & spending about 10 times as
much ... I was struggling to make ends meet ... he lost his job & declared
bankrupsy. He got to keep one of his cars, the house, the dogs, the home
computer, the TV set, a whole bunch of other expensive toys. He had to get
rid of his boat ... when he was done, he was absolved of a lot of debt to
utility companies & they could not disconnect him for non-payment.

People who have declared bankrupsy can sometimes have a hard time getting
credit for a while ... I do not understand this logic. In theory there is a
legal limit to how long it will be until the next time you can declare
bankrupsy, so in theory someone who just had a bankrupsy is the best kind of
credit risk, until the time gets close to when they can do it again.

I am an old fashioned kind of guy ... having a bankrupsy would be a stain on
my reputation.

You might start with the BPCS job market web site
http://www.bpcsjobz.com

I suspect ERP experience is more marketable than on any one particular one.

MIDRANGE-L has got a thread going right now about RPG programmers ... sounds
to me like a combination of the AS/400 communitity is not really live on
telecommuting yet & regional economies ... some are in boom & some in bust.
