  • Subject: Version 6.1.01 - Problem Getting ALAUNCH Daemon To Stay Active

Has anyone out there had problems with ALAUNCH DAEMON in 6.1.01. SSA
Helpline has not been able to resolve problem.

We are currently testing/prototyping in Version 6.1.01. Have set up
everything according to install instructions for TCP/IP GUI interface.

Can start the ALAUNCH Daemon and see it running on the AS400, using
BPCSTCPIP Job Queue in QGPL.

Have loaded 6.1.01 Client and have the correct parameters in the Session
Manager Settings.

When I click on an icon and fill in the prompt for USER and PASSWORD and
press 'ENTER' I get message 'Can't Send After Socket Shutdown' and when I
check the AS400 the ALAUNCH Daemon has crashed.

Joblog tells me 'Job Queue BPCSTCPIP in library QSYS not found.'

Can't figure out where to go to tell it to look in QGPL and not QSYS for
BPCSTCPIP Job Queue.

Have double checked job descriptions, INLIBL data areas, etc.
