From Al Macintyre 405 CD We occasionally get data in the different files that add up on-hand to add up differently, so we run some stuff on the reorg menu to get them back in sync with each other. If you have out-of-sync then different inquries produce different results or pictures which could be misleading. For example, if you have a modification that writes transactions to inventory history that is not updating IIM last seq correctly, some inventory history goes invisible from INV300. Out-of-sync most often seems to occur when something is driven negative, because not all BPCS software supports totals being driven negative. Thus we also have some periodic queries to list what has gone negative & is in need of clean-up. We also had a case of some locations being discontinued & users discovered BPCS will let you soft-delete a warehouse location combination which has inventory there, but the fact that it is soft-deleted means that other software does not process that inventory "correctly." I realize this is not very helpful ... just some places to look. > From: Dick_Bailey@MCFA.COM (Bailey, Dick) > > We're on 6.1 BPCS - and are finding this problem.
