RE: Events at SSA

A short update from the MBUG meeting, I will paraphrase and take a little
liberty in my interpretation.
*       Gores will not officially say or do anything more until they
complete the purchase of all assets in the Bankruptcy Auction.  This should
happen 30 to 45 days after the bankruptcy filing.  Filing should be within a
week.
*       Gores is leaving existing management in place.  Their 2
contributions are to:  1)  "Clean up the balance sheet" (reduce debt and
increase working capital) and  2)  Help put in place a marketing plan for
BPCS.
*        Everyone (vendors, consultants and users at MBUG) who has had
anything to do with v6.1, say it is cleaner and more stable than anything
they have seen from SSA since 6x started coming out.  It seems everyone
expects the same from 6.1.01.
*       SSA Management is dedicated to having one new release per year.

I get the impression Gores will not be actively involved in day to day
management.  For us, that means making sure we have contacts at SSA not at
Gores.
