yes i have seen this problem very explicitly! i have done quite a bit of research on it and it appears to happen when you get multiple cost gens (cst600/cst500) running simultaneously. in our case we use the bpcs configurator product and the last step of the configuration process is to perform a selective cost generation. it was these cost generations that were running simultaneously. to solve the problem we created a unique cost set to be used solely by the bpcs configurator cost gen processes. this cost set cannot be used for anything as it consistently has duplicate cmf cost records. i have written some audit reports to look at the cmf file each evening and the duplicate cost records only appear in this cost set. my recommendation would be to keep the users from submitting cst600/cst500 to eliminate the possibility of multiple users submitting multiple jobs at the same time. run them in batch once an evening! chick doe barton instrument systems >>> bpcsmaynez@yahoo.com 04/07 9:23 AM >>> Checking costs were equal in two facilities, I discovered that my CMF file has duplicated costs. I mean there is more than one record for the combination CFPROD, CFFAC, CFCSET, CFCBKT. This was reason why I had diferent costs between two facilities after doing a Cost Inter-Facility transfer. I deleted those records but I am getting more. I suspect the CST600 is the program that is making these duplicated. Has anyone has seen this problem? Any ideas how to solve it?
