We are using BPCS 6.0.2. Jan cum tape. To keep a standard of programming in the shop we use the same message file schema as BPCS, actually using the same CL's for the RPG writing, clearing & initializing of messages. However, when I copied the source for one of our applications and converted using the standard rpg conversion utility to ILE, an IO error message occurs after displaying any message on a message file. I have eliminated all the obvious problems, i.e.: /Copy files, DDS not matching. I even re-wrote the application in ILE instead of converting. Honestly, message files are not something I put a lot of time in... follow the standard CL's and you never have to think about them, regardless if they are BPCS or not. So, any idea's? We are on V4R4.... Thanks!
