  • Subject: RE: Effect of NOT running Inventory Month-end Close?

Hi Ho.

If you are not using the costing module or CEA. Go ahead don't run
it. I would however run the re-org programs offered under SYS01.

        1. However if your people are using INV300 religiously they may get
annoyed with the month to date number being incorrect.

        2. Your ITH (transaction file) suuuuuure is going to get big. This
will slow down your system when using INV300 or running reports that use the
ITH file. Depending on the amount of room available on your disk, this may
become an issue.

My advise to you. Run month-end every month but say no to Delete ITH
records when submitting INV903. This will speed up your month end
considerably. (2 minutes max). Once or twice a year say yes to delete ITH
records.
