Rob, If by "SSA's report writer" you are referring to UserVision, before you make any decisions you should be aware that SSA is "Sunsetting" UserVision. "In accordance with our policy to provide customers with no less than six months notice of our decision to discontinue product support, SSA announces that it will discontinue support for USERVision V1.3.4 and all previous versions by 29-Feb-2000. After this date, HelpLine will no longer accept calls nor provide BMR fixes for any USERVision release." (From Bulletin on OGS) Here are some links to other worthy 3rd party report and query writers: http://www.seagatesoftware.com/homepage/ http://www.cognos.com/impromptu/index.html http://www.showcasecorp.com/strategy/strategy.html Best wishes, Geo. -----Original Message----- <I don't know if this is even a valid question, but one of our vice-presidents is making noise about the users using SSA's report-writer to generate reports on V6.1 Mixed-mode running on an AS/400. Is it worth it? Or do we train them on IBM's query?> +--- | This is the BPCS Users Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to BPCS-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to BPCS-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to BPCS-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner: dasmussen@aol.com +---
