Yes, I consider BPCS an ERP system. The four you mentioned, along with Oracle, are usually mentioned as "Tier 1" ERP vendors by some experts. Baan may lose it's status if it can't stop their losses. (See page A6 in 2/14/2000 Investors Business Daily for details.) ----- Original Message ----- From: Mack, Robert M. <Robert.M.Mack@sgcna.com> To: BPCS-L (E-mail) <BPCS-L@midrange.com> Sent: Tuesday, February 15, 2000 3:06 PM Subject: ERP or not? | This is probably dumb question, but I'm going to ask anyway. Is BPCS | considered an ERP system? I've been on a couple of websites today and | whenever a reference was made to ERP systems, SAP, PeopleSoft, BAAN and | JDEdwards were mentioned. Are they omitted because they are not big enough, | or don't they have a true ERP system. | +--- | | This is the BPCS Users Mailing List! | | To submit a new message, send your mail to BPCS-L@midrange.com. | | To subscribe to this list send email to BPCS-L-SUB@midrange.com. | | To unsubscribe from this list send email to BPCS-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | | Questions should be directed to the list owner: dasmussen@aol.com | +--- | +--- | This is the BPCS Users Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to BPCS-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to BPCS-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to BPCS-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner: dasmussen@aol.com +---
