To put it in simple terms and assuming an AS/400 (which can get much more complicated than this example if you have an MIS Manager smarter than yours, or if his predecessor was much smarter), your system console should be running out of subsystem QCTL. Find it. Sign onto the console running out of QCTL with proper authority, get a command line, and issue an ENDSYS command -- this should end all interactive and batch jobs other than yours. Get into BPCS and run INV903 interactively from the console. When INV903 is complete, issue a PWRDWNSYS OPTION(*IMMED) RESTART(*YES) to bring all the subsystems back on line. There are more painless options than this, but this is the simplest that I can think of without more specific information on your configuration. EEEEEk! Just reread and realized that you are full client. You're going to need some help from either a trusted third party or SSA itself -- the latter example is only good for mixed mode. You _really_ need a new MIS manager. Without a complete layout of your current system (portions of which should _NOT_ be publicized here), it would be impossible to advise you on how to rectify this situation. Worst case, the MIS manager _SHOULD_ be able to monitor the system and terminate any new jobs against BPCS... JMHO, Dean Asmussen Enterprise Systems Consulting, Inc.
