Thats the very reason I am sticking around, just to ease the pointy haired 
bosses
mind.
We have been testing future dated transactions for the past 3 months on another
box, we set system date ahead to 31 and allowed it to roll unattended.
So far neither OS/400 nor bpcs have shown any ill-effects.
We did have a disk drive go bad during an ipl last month and so, I am not all
that keen on powering down over new years anyway.
