I worked for IBM for 10yrs, my recommendation would be to keep IBM and the business partner in the loop. That way, if problems do arise, you can always defer back to IBM's court. Even though the guarantee is on NEW systems only....depending on your relationship with IBM, they may be willing to go to bat for you. I know I would, if I was your rep. Good Luck...Mark ----- Original Message ----- From: Gary Ackland <ackland@gssolutions.com> To: <BPCS-L@midrange.com> Sent: Friday, October 08, 1999 9:47 AM Subject: Re: [AS/400 Sizing] > Becareful on the IBM guarantee, IBM's promise is on NEW systems only, not on > upgrades. > > AS/400 sizing is accomplished by completing the SSA sizing questionnaire, > and then working with one of the certified SSA Hardware partners.
