Hi Folks,
In SSA's 9/14/99 Live Wire there is an interview with SSA Chairman and
Chief Executive Officer William M. Stuek.
In response to the question:
The installed base might want to ask - is BPCS development over?
He answered:
It is not. Our BPCS development will continue, and as there are major
improvements to be made, we will make them to the existing profile of
applications that we have. But building giant new applications like SAP and
Baan and J.D. Edwards - well, everybody's out there with lots more money
than I have, and [they're] probably a lot smarter than we are.
Emphasis mine. Realistic maybe, but what a statement... Of course in light of some of SSA's past deals (User Vision, AS/Set, etc.) maybe a statement that needed to be made...
Chuck
