nations have granted the patent and what is(are) the patent
number(s)?
b. Was the patent
filed for in the United States? If yes, on what date was the patent filed for
consideration in the United States?
c. When was(were) the patent(s) granted?
d. What other
nations are currently considering a patent filing?
e. Who is(are)
the patent holder(s)?
f. Does
the supplier have a license to use the patented technology which is granted by
the patent holder?
g. Has the
patent holder filed a lawsuit in Federal Court against the supplier claiming
patent infringement? If so, what is the name of the United States District Court
and the case number of the lawsuit? If so, have any of the supplier's customers
been named as co-defendants in the lawsuit?
14. Has any party claimed that the
supplier's repair toolset violated copyright law? If so, has a lawsuit been
filed? If so, in what nation was this lawsuit filed and has a final ruling been
made by the court in that nation?
15. Does the supplier have a tool that can
be used to periodically scan all physical files for any emerging signs of date
data corruption in the post-cutover production environment?
16. If the methodology used is the 28-year
encapsulation method, can the repair be automatically reversed by the client at
some time after the year 2000 when pre-2000 dates are no longer present in
physical files ?
So, that's the 16-point Y2K Suppliers'
Interrogation. I would welcome any additions/ amendments/ comments/
observations. Perhaps I've overlooked a key point and I apologize in advance for
any lack of discernment on my part.
