We have done 8 conversions this year and last year for various people. (4) from Existing BPCS to BPCS and (4) from Non BPCS/Non AS400 platforms to BPCS. Each one took on the average of 3-4 months. There were no books for field dependencies. We used a tool developed by our technical group that would analyze the existing data base and the map the data to the BPCS data base and the would create RPGLE code for each field and file. This saved hours and allowed us to create a set of conversion programs in a month of less. All this knowledge is locked up in the rules set up by our programmer/consultants. I wish we could extract it for a book. good Luck Charles 303-809-0091 +--- | This is the BPCS Users Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to BPCS-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to BPCS-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to BPCS-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner: dasmussen@aol.com +---
