BPCS will support negative discounts... we use them frequently because we do a lot of "delivered pricing" where the freight is built in to the invoice price. But we want to generate a separate line for this freight surcharge, so I'm not sure it will work here. But thanks for the suggestion, I'll check it out. Set it up, use dates such that the surcharge is not now effective, include code to use this negative impact on all customer ship to carrier whatever "when it is effective." then when BMC needs the surcharge, change the percentage to the new story (expressed as a negative so the math will come out as a positive addition instead of the usual discount), and alter the effectivity dates so that the charge is effective immediately. When BMC wants it stopped, change the effectivity dates accordingly. Start & Stop will be fast & easy, relevant orders get the code when relevant, the only thing to research is whether or not this actually works in BPCS. Other approaches - review order types 6 & 7 ____________________________________________ Al Macintyre Central Industries of Indiana, Inc. www.cen-elec.com +--- | This is the BPCS Users Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to BPCS-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to BPCS-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to BPCS-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner: dasmussen@aol.com +--- +--- | This is the BPCS Users Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to BPCS-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to BPCS-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to BPCS-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner: dasmussen@aol.com +---
