You may want to take a look at the lower date for the MPS gen. I have seen both of those demands ignored because the planning start date for the initial gen. is after the 'go live date' or initial posting date. -----Original Message----- From: brad henson [SMTP:bhenson1@ix.netcom.com] Sent: Monday, August 16, 1999 4:19 PM To: BPCS-L@midrange.com Subject: planned orders I have been involved with six implementations so far, but this one is unique for me. Planning is working very well for raw materials (MRP items), but finished goods (MPS items) is not doing well at all. Most all items have a demand time fence with Customer Orders only inside, and greater of forecast or orders outside. Also most items have an order policy of discreet. MPS seems to be planning for the customer orders and/or the forecasts, but not the minimum balances or negative inventories (caused by product sold before the shop order is created and received). The facility contains at least one non-nettable warehouse. The inventory in it does not appear to be a factor. The warehouse and facility setups must be OK to ge any planned orders at all. The other six facilites planned fine. Anyone with any ideas on where to check? thanks brad +--- | This is the BPCS Users Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to BPCS-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to BPCS-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to BPCS-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner: dasmussen@aol.com +---
