Allocation Synchronization

        We are (recently converted) on 6.0.0.2 multi-mode.  We are reluctant
to run the program that re-synchronizes the allocations in IWI because of
the time it takes and what appears to us as unexpected results. 

        What are the ramifications of not running it, or running it
infrequently?
