Different pieces of BPCS software, that we may need to modify, is written in different languages, and sometimes there are tools to help automate some design work, like SDA can help DDS screens. Help Panels for BPCS interactive screens are written in UIM, which looks a bit like HTML. Can anyone reccommend manuals or reprintable articles or books that will teach how to do a good job in UIM, since IBM has no classes in it, or does BPCS have some kind of design tool where we doodle what we want, like the User Menus, then some pre-compiler converts our efforts into the PNL source? We are on 405 CD mixed mode & do not have AS/Set.
