We are on 6.002plf March cum HP9000 Informix, and we are using the configurator with some success -- sort of. We make food service equipment and use the configurator for custom line-ups, but we have had lots of problems with re-configuring quotes (an integral part of our business). To get around this, we are only configuring "finished" jobs in BPCS as orders, and are doing our quoting on our legacy system and on an industry product Autoquotes. We are just beginning our move to eBPCS (6.1) and hope that we will see some improvements with the new version. -Jim Touchtone System Administrator/DBA Randell MFG (800) 621-8560 x4133 >From: "George Sagen" <gsagen@primesourcetech.com> >Reply-To: BPCS-L@midrange.com >To: "BPCS-L@midrange. com" <BPCS-L@midrange.com> >Subject: Configurator v6.04 AS/400 Mixed Mode--Anyone successfully using >it? >Date: Tue, 13 Jul 1999 14:38:36 -0700 > >Is anyone successfully using Configurator, or know anybody who is using it >with success, or heard rumor of anyone using it with success? > >Our environment here is as patched as a life raft full of porcupines, so we >can't identify the source of our problems.
