To map a message ID string with enclosed variables, you could use the 'retrieve message description API' - QMHRTVM. The variables need to be concatenated together and passed as a single string. The API will then imbed these into the message definition and pass back the result. If you are trying to display a message within an AS/SET program use e.g.: K DSPMSG *NONE,'EDX9004','SSAZ01',MDATA where MDATA is a single field containing the concatenated &1, &2 and &3 substitution values. - Bernard -----Original Message----- From: AprAlexa@aol.com <AprAlexa@aol.com> To: BPCS-L@midrange.com <BPCS-L@midrange.com> Date: Tuesday, June 22, 1999 3:06 AM Subject: TLE 3.2.01 IDK Error Message ID variables >Hi, >Does anyone know how to map for an error message id with multiple variables >within a converter.
