Hello Jim Cannon and all interested,

We have BPCS software maintenance with SSA Chicago.
I called the help line and they sent me TLE 3.2.01. The service packs are
for TLE 3.2.01, and they are cumulative for Y2K.

I would like to recommend a consultant who is very good, and nice to work
with.
His name is Jerry Goode, he works for Scruggs and Associates.
He has implemented many versions of EDI on many platforms. He knows his
stuff.
He can be reached at (601)649-0383.

Jerry has installed this release now on several of his clients. He has open
issues with this release with SSA Chicago.
We have not yet installed it on our system. Jerry wants to wait until SSA
has fixed these bugs before we install it.

Sincerely,

Chris Ertz
Manager of Software Development
American Metal Products

I went to Greensborough (sp)... for SSA training in ECM. It was a 4 day
class
and was not very good. There were 4 in the class from 4 different
companies,
general consensus, not a good class. Last I heard SSA was revamping the
class.
Then my supervisor contacted SSA and they (SSA) brought in a contractor by
the
name of Jerry Goode for 4 days of TLE training. He was extremely good!!!!,
within the second day we had sample edi transactions sent to our customer.
So
far they have made some minor mapping changes which I have been able to
handle.
He was probably the "best class" I have ever taken.

I too, am new to EDI but have had a crash course in ECM and TLE. You are
correct, the remote is your trading partner and the local is your company.

 Subject: EDI PARTNER SETUP

Below is a screen print of a page for setting up a Address Link in Partner
Profile Maintenance. The info has been changed to protect the innocent.
Some how I dont think this is correct.
I just dont think the Remote and Local are or should be the same.
Let me guess...Remote is our trading partner, and Local is us?
