How about:

1. software investment
2. hardware investment
3. mgmt reluctant to go a different direction
4. can you say Y2K?
5. ...and goto what!?  JDE? SAP? You got that kinda time and bucks? You
nuts?
6. What other packages are out there on a 400?
7. Do I REALLY want to learn another architecture?
8. You have a mgmt who's content their g/l balances and as we all know, to
   bean counters, if their g/l balances all is right with the world...if
not it's hell to pay....regardless of which dippy d/e clerk did the d/e...
9.  How many mgrs want to say/admit they made a software choice mistake?

...I could go on, but so far I've worked up a rather healthy appetite that
needs satiating..:)
