--- Press Release --- Dated: April 13, 1999 Unbeaten Path Announces Version 3 of The speed and quality of Y2K repairs performed by Resuscitator2000 has been enhanced by a new version of the remediation toolset. The improved efficiency has helped to make Unbeaten Path’s turnkey service very affordable, even for relatively small enterprises. Turnkey Resuscitator2000 remediation services for a full complement of BPCS modules can now be performed for less than two pennies per line of code. (Costs for System36, RPGLE, COBOL, Query and AS/SET definitions are higher.) The turnaround time for repairing a fairly complete set of BPCS modules has been reduced to 9 - 14 business days; smaller "home-grown" systems can be remediated in a week or less. Resuscitator2000 reliability is about 99.95%. (A typical BPCS v4.x system has roughly 43,000 dates. Recent post-delivery testing performed by Resuscitator2000 clients has revealed only two or three dozen errors. Unbeaten Path fixes any Resuscitator2000 errors identified by clients at no charge.) Version 3 of the Resuscitator2000 toolset now employs a program-centric design which fully leverages findings from Unbeaten Path’s Lost & Found Source/Object Inventory system. The new version also accommodates conversion programs for data areas and automatically fixes date/time data types in physical files. These enhancements have reduced turnaround time while improving reliability.
