We have BPCS 405 CD.
But this may be true for your version.
I change our special pricing routine in ORD500 to Always use positive quantities. It already had a separate work file that it used for quantity for unit of measure conversion. I just multiplied it by negative one if it was negative. It was only 3 lines of code to the S020 subroutine to make it work.

Subject: Pricing - functional question
BPCS Mixmode V6.04
We are unable to apply special pricing to warranty and annual stock returns
as the quantitiy or amount for calculating a special price needs to be a
positive amount.
We are unable to tie these returns to a specific invoice, therefore when a
return is made, unless overidden, the credited price is greater than the
actual paid price. For several customers, we have set up list price books
with the prices for each part, however this process is cumbersome as we add
new customers and new part numbers. Does anyone have any possible
solutions? Please advise. Thanks
