An update:

I reported a minor problem with printer control characters showing up in 
documents during my endorsement of SPLTOOL, a program by Brad Stone 
that, among other things, copies AS/400 Spooled files to HTML documents.

Brad contacted me by email and has identified this as a problem in our default 
on the CPYTOPCD command.  Our translation table does not default to 
QSYS/QASCII.  He has placed a service pack on his web page, ST121498, 
which addresses this.

I happen to think that's pretty damn fine service at any price, but for fourty 
five 
bucks, you can't beat it!
