In this list, I heard about a shareware package called SPLTOOL. SPLTOOL
provides an easy interface for copying spooled files to PC Support documents.
It also makes management of TCP/IP printers much easier.

The problem I needed to solve was to find a way to put certain BPCS reports on
my web page. Unfortunately the products that do this tend to cost in the
thousands.

SPLTOOL's registration fee is $45. While it does seem to leave the printer
control characters in the leftmost column, these can be easily removed from the
document using WordPad's search and replace feature.

SPLTOOL puts the appropriate HTML tags in the document when you use the
HTM extension. In a matter of minutes, you can transfer a spool file to an
HTML document. It is easy and quick. The document can then be accessed
through Windows 95's network neighborhood and copied to a web server in
about two heartbeats. I strongly recommend this tool.

The URL for SPLTOOL is http://prairie.lakes.com/~bvstone/as400sw.html
