WHM has all the standard features of a random warehouse/pickface set up. 

BUT

1) although it seemed okay in v4 the v6.0.02 objects were regarded as
defective up until a maintenance release in November 97. I haven't had
chance to look at it since then. According to rumour the principle
problem was that the picking logic wasn't. (logical I mean). 

2) WHM will give a large increase in the volume of transactions needed
(put-aways, moves, pallet attributes, load marshaling etc). Have you
factored in the extra keying time?

3) WHM is only half the solution that most companies want. It enables
BPCS to handle palletized stock, but it doesn't provide a solution for
data capture on remote terminals or data collectors. This is the bit
that most people REALLY want when they say they want a managed
warehouse. You can either use a dedicated warehousing product and
interface it to BPCS or figure a solution for interfacing BPCS to the
data collection hardware.
