Hey Folks,

Is it just us, or does everyone else on V6 have an AS/Set-Generated database
instead of normal BPCS files referencing SSADD? We just noticed this as we
got far enough into converting our custom code to find something using FOD.
Seems that fields OSET and OSETP are defined as 8,3P in the ADK repository,
but still 5,2P (as was the case on 5.1.01) in the actual file. While
researching the latter, we discovered that NONE of the (representative sample
of) files have either the REFFLD keyword or COLHDG via DSPFFD -- an ADK
trademark. ADK also includes _ALL_ fields, complete with TEXT, when
generating logical file DDS -- highly annoying and an unnecessary DASD hog.
Finally, all generated file source is copyrighted with the client's name
rather than SSA. The latter is a nit, but I prefer to copyright only those
files that we have actually created or changed ourselves for clarification
purposes.

This causes us _GREAT_ grief, as our EIS (FOCUS) uses the column headings to
define field descriptions for the user to see. Also, since SSA ships no DDS
source with V6, we are now confused as to which definition of OSET/OSETP is
correct. We also wonder how many more of these "gotcha's" are lurking out
there that we have yet to discover.

The person that did the initial install of the package is no longer with the
client, so we don't know if anything peculiar went on during the installation
process that might have caused this. All input appreciated...

TIA,
