A lot of times you can find information in the CGIDEBUG file located in CGIDEV2 library (well it is for me, depends on where you compiled your stuff).

Thanks. Turns out it was a series of things that CGIDEV2 reports in ambiguously (just to make me put my propeller hat on).

First was a date formatting error in the RPG itself. Next was a cut and paste error (wrong section name). So many joblogs, so little time....
