This isn't a problem with the HTTP server. Images are requested by the
client (usually a web browser). You should take a look in the remote
system's logs to see if there are any requests for them.

Subject: [WEB400] problem with migration to IBM apache server

Our company is just beginning the process of migrating our web sites to
the IBM apache server. (We have been on an i-net sever.) To keep
traffic on our internal server low, we store most of our images on a
remote server. On the initial pages that I am testing, I am having a
problem with the images from the remote server displaying on the page.
I can see the outline of where the image should be and, even weirder, if
I hit the browser's print key, the image will print on the print out but
it will not display on the page. I have tested an image that resided on
our internal server and it displays just fine. I have tried to preload
the images but that did not help. Any ideas? Is there a server config
setting I should be looking at?

Thanks for any help,
Marie Sebens
