Hi Mike,

Of course I already crawled through the API but without success. If there was a option, it should be mentioned on the IWorkbenchPage interface, shouldn't it?

Unfortunately the editor inherits from EditorPart making it difficult if not impossible to open it in a "Dialog" faking the "services" that are provided by EditorPart. Even if it would be possible, I assume it is more work I want to spend.

Regards,

Thomas.

That is just an Eclipse thing to pull a view of the Window, nothing to do with the view content I don’t believe?

Thomas, I think if you poke about in the API there is a method to create a new edit session, or at least I know of another plugin developer doing such a thing but I will admit that I have not looked into how to do it 😉

Mike

Hi Thomas

It is possible to separate an editor view by dragging the tab away from the main window - does that suggest a way to show it separately when you open it?

Cheers
Vern

Does somebody know whether or not it is possible to open the LPEX editor in a popup dialog? At least in a "display" mode? That would be very useful for an upcoming new feature in iSphere.
