Hi Dave,

The following is what I have in my shortcut for the -clean option, which works;

"C:\Program Files\IBM\SDP_1\eclipse.exe" -product com.ibm.rational.developer.ibmi.product.ide -clean

Hope that helps.

Best regards,
Mark

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Error before start up - RDi

Using RDi V9.1. Can't get more specific right now since I can't start it up.
I may have cancelled in the middle of a debug session yesterday.

My shortcut is "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\IBM Software Delivery Platform\IBM Rational Developer for i V9.1"

When I try to start up I get an error:
An error has occurred. See the log file C:\Users\dboettch\IBM\rationalsdp\workspace\.metadata\.log

I have seen some messages in the archives to use a -clean option. So I created a shortcut on my desktop and followed some directions I found in the archives to change the target to include -clean at the end.
Then I get an error that basically says the string in the target box is not valid.

So I tried pasting the target in a DOS box and it says it's not a valid batch file or executable.

What's next?
TIA,

Dave B
