FWIW, you may wish to consider moving to RDp 7.6 as I think you will see
relief for this wee problem sooner there.

But I have been known to be wrong.

Right, it's still compiling.

I did a bit more research on the issue and found that it only does that
when a copybook is included. I took out the only copybook that one of my

programs included and the message stopped. The convenience of the /copy

outweighs the issue of pressing Enter every compile.

I'll let our RDp users know that it's still open.

Thanks,

Ah, you are right. I opened an APAR for it so I presumed that it was
fixed right away, ha ha. For RDp 7.5 it is APAR SE42041 and it is
still
open. Unfortunately I do not have an ETA for a fix at this time.

I don't think that it inhibits the compilation at all, just gives you a
message.

I can find an RDi 7.5.0.5, but not RDp at that version. I've noticed
that
most of IBM's web site doesn't know that package exists. Installation
Manager doesn't see any updates available. Is this something I have to
get

through Entitlement?

Thanks,

The trial license on my RDi ran out, so we were told to grab the RDP
demo
and use that until we order the permanent keys in the new fiscal year. I

removed RDi and installed RDP. Because I had a project with a lot of
custom member filters, I told RDP to use the workspace files created by
RDi. My filters and commands imported properly, but there is a little
annoyance.

Now, (most of the time) whenever I compile a SQLRPGLE program, I get a
popup window labeled "EVENTS FILE PROCESSINGE" with the following
message:

"The ID field of the FILEEND event does not match the ID field of the
last

SourceLineRange."

When I click Details, I see:
Mismatched IDs: FILEID: 004 FILEEND: FILEEND 0 001
000000

Our other RDP beta users do not see this message. I'm on version 7.5.0
of

RDP and i5/OS V5R4.

Any ideas on how to get rid of this message? Is it related to using the
existing RDi workspace?
Thanks,

[WDSCI-L] RDP 7.6 Under Windows 7

Just got Windows 7. We downloaded a trial of RDP 7.6 which is supposed
to

be supported on Windows 7 . We are still running IBM i 5.4 on our
server,

and I get the following message when I compile an SQLRPGLE program:

The ID field of the FILEEND event does not match the ID field of the
last
SourceLineRange.

Details: Mismatched IDs: FILEID: 013 FILEEND: FILEEND 0
001

000000

I tried compiling an RPGLE and DO NOT get the same message. Maybe RDP
is
looking for something in the program/job output that isn't present in
5.4?

It doesn't prevent anything from working, but it is definitely
annoying.
Looking for suggestions.

I am also getting an error when trying to open a "new" source member.
When

I try to open a member I know is not there, RDP would usually prompt to
create it. Instead I am getting a message "An unexpected exception has
occurred". Again, I can work around it, but it is annoying.

Here is the stack track of the "unexpected exception":
