Many different things causing confusion... What I didn't see was the
CF07/08... Those AREN'T the PAGE* keys, they are the FUNCTION keys... I
wasn't pressing the function keys, but the PAGE* keys. GOT IT!!!

Thanks for your patience!!

Dave,

It would be interesting to see your entire DDS, but from the manual:

"The PAGEDOWN keyword cannot be specified with ROLLUP. The PAGEUP
keyword cannot be specified with ROLLDOWN.

Note: The ROLLUP keyword is the same as the PAGEDOWN keyword. The
ROLLDOWN keyword is the same as the PAGEUP keyword. Roll is the same as
page."

Also note: this conversation would probably be more appropriate in
MIDRANGE-L

Well, ok, but I did move the PAGE* below the ROLL* and still don't get

any action from the ROLL* indicators. I still don't understand why
ROLL* is there if it doesn't do anything. OR, does PAGE* override ANY
use of
ROLL* in any sequence in the dspf?

page down = rollup

Turnidge, Dave wrote:
Ok. I think I found the problem, but I don't understand...
ABOVE the
Rollup and Rolldown records I have:

 PAGEDOWN(25 'PAGE DOWN')
 PAGEUP(26 'PAGE UP')

And, 25 & 26 are turning on/off. Does it just work with the first
defined? If they were reversed (Rollup before Pageup) would
the rollup

work?

I am using a method of indicator usage that I'm not used to... The
subfile control record has:

 CF07(07 'ROLLUP')
 CF08(08 'ROLLDOWN')

The display file spec is:

 FsavjrndspdCF E WORKSTN SFILE(SAVJRNS1:#HRRN1)
 F INFDS(PINFDS)
 F INDDS(WORKSTNIND)

And the WORKSTNIND looks like this:

 ** Display File Indicator Usage

When I do a page down, ALLINDS looks like:

ALLINDS =

....5...10...15...20...25...30...35...40...45...50...55...60

     1
'000000000000000000000000100000000000000000000000000000000000'
    61 '010000000110001000000000000000000000000'

Why isn't indicator 7 or 8 on?

Dave
