For the build path issue, do you have two entries for LPEX right now?  One
with jar and one without?  You can delete the one without the jar.  Have
you used the update classpath action?  I don't think this error would cause
the problems you have.

Have you read the latest article?  It is based on 5.1.  Here is the link:

Hi Colin,

Well, I spent quite some time installing al available updates. I deleted
the project and started again from scratch. The erroneous line in the
build path is still there, only now both lines for LPEX now point to 1.4.3
(was 1.4.2). The result is still the same.
