Mike,

Is that so? Yes they use Aurora so I shall check roll's. Thank you.

Steve,
If you are using System21 Aurora then Roll processing may be active. If that is the case then the authorisation is at a roll level not a user level.

Hi J......

Just done this,

  XA100                  Administration Functions
    Maintain User Profiles
    User Profile                                                    Action
    STEVER    Steve Raby                                            *Update

Type changes, press Enter and then F3 to Update
    User level. . . . . . . . . . . 3 (1=Novice,3=Expert,8=Nov Grp,9=Exp Grp)

    Default sign-on company . . . . VD

    Default development application
    Language code . . . . . . . . .
Default job queue / library . . QBATCH      /  QGPL
Default print queue / library . QPRINT      /  QGPL
    Hold on print queue . . . . . . 1      (1=Yes,0=No)
Authorised to common functions  1      (1=Yes,0=No)
    Sign-off on leaving system. . . 0      (1=Yes,0=No)
    Date format (D/M/Y) . . . . . . D
    Allow submit job prompt . . . . 1      (1=Yes,0=No)
    Allow command entry . . . . . . 1      (1=Yes,0=No)
    Message delivery. . . . . . . . *USER  (*NOTIFY,*BREAK,*HOLD,*DFT,*USER)

    F3=Exit  F4=Browse  F12=Previous                    F24=More Keys

I checked in IPGCFF4/APG05PHY and there was no record for me in there, I copied QPGMR which had the '1' in the last 10 positions but this achieved nothing. I still cannot do the authorisations. I know I have setup users before on this box, but that was at least 2 years ago. Something must have changed, the only people who could have changed it are Infor, but they need me to book a call before anyone will even talk to me about this, very frustrating.

Steve,

Do you have authority to perform Common Functions...?
If not you will not likely see the authority screens...

Look at the record in IPGCFF4/APG05PHY that has your name on it...
The last ten positions of this record should be all '1' if you want to be able to do Common Functions which includes granting and revoking authority...

Typically the QSECOFR or QPGMR profile have the requisite clearance to perform CF...

Good luck...

Hi Adrian,

I take F8 from the actual screen layout to the screen where you enter

ID/Env/Rl/Code, from there Enter does nothing, F8 just takes you out. Is it the release level perhaps?

Steve

Steve, You could try maintaining the menu again.  Press F8 from the memu
design screen (operations screen) then press enter (not F8).  The next
screen will allow you to use option 1 for all (options) or 3 to select
against each user name to be authorised.
