For the many years that the RPG compiler lay dormant, the documentation
had time to catch up and be virtually complete with respect to
documenting language features.

But the flurry of recent compiler enhancements has meant that the
documentation might need a touch of attention here and there. I'll give
feedback in the exception section of the RPG Reference.

However upon further thought, I wonder if I may be conflating the
attributes of both MAIN and NOMAIN; i.e. the complete elimination of the
default handler feature may come only with the latter.

I haven't got far with linear-main, but the current (7.2) documentation
seems to indicate that MAIN and NOMAIN do pretty much the same thing
when it comes to the cycle. So it's a reasonable conclusion that both
eliminate the default error handler, although with the documentation
as-is, it's hard to say if that's an intended effect or no.

Being unable to code anything but on v5r3 for several years, I am not
[never really have been] all that well-versed in the specifics of what
the newer support for RPG effects. Sadly mostly only from reading
rather than doing.

We've got to get you on one of the free IBM i accounts and get you
current! :-)
