I have the following code writing a string of text to the IFS:

C Eval FD = open(%TrimR(IFS_Filename):
C O_CREAT+O_TRUNC+O_WRONLY+O_Codepage:
C (6*64)+(6*8)+(6):819)

However when I view the data via wrklnk I get an Information message
stating "1 records folded."

The extended help says:

Message ID . . . . . . : CPDB625 Severity . . . . . . . : 20
Message type . . . . . : Information
Date sent . . . . . . : 08/02/07 Time sent . . . . . . : 10:28:06

Message . . . . : 1 records folded.
Cause . . . . . : 1 records exceeded 4K bytes. These records have been
split
to display them on multiple lines. If you do not make any changes, the

records in the file will remain the original length. If you proceed to
edit
this file, the record lengths will be changed in the file to the length

currently on the display.

"1 records exceed 4K bytes?"

The total string length I wrote is less than 2000 bytes. And when viewing
the file via wrklnk it appears as one long string that 'wraps' and appears
as three lines on the display. The CCSID is 819.

Within the string there are multiple x'0D' where the data segments end
within the string. I thought those would serve to enable displaying each
segment as a separate line in the wrklnk view.

I have files of a similar nature (text data in the IFS with ccsid 819 and
multiple x'0D') from a different application and these appear to not
exhibit this behavior. Each segment terminated with an x'0D' displays as
one line on the display in wrklnk and I can use F20 to window to the right
to see the data within each segment.

I also googled (and midranged) CPDB625 and didn't get anything.

Anyone with any ideas why or how I can correct this behavior?

Regards, Jerry
