RE: Exporting to Excel

I customarily create a pre-formatted output data file with all numeric
columns pre-editted as alpha's (using ILE BIF's) to a regular dds file. Then
I use the CPYTOIMPF  cmd as shown below

CPYTOIMPF  FROMFILE(QTEMP/&XLFILENAME) +                  
    TOSTMF('/HOME/EMAIL/EMAILFIL1.CSV') +                 
    RCDDLM(*CRLF) STMFCODPAG(*PCASCII) MBROPT(*REPLACE)   
                                                          

Then I email via the sndemail utility (I think it is a taatool's utility)

              SNDEMAIL   FILENAME(&EMAILFILE1) RECIPADDR(&EMAILADDR) + 
                         RECIPNAME('*REQUESTOR  ') +                   
                         SENDERADDR('E-CommerceSupport@xxxxxx')
SENDERNAME('eCommerce') +         
                         ATTACHMENT(&ATTACHMNT1) +                     
                         SUBJECT(&EMAILHDNG) +                         
                         MESSAGE(&EMALSUBJCT)                          
              MONMSG     MSGID(CPF0000)

Some of our users are wanting their reports exported to excel......I am sure
I am not the first to have this request, so I would like to hear how others
have accomplished this.
