you should be using the CRTSQLRPGI command to compile SQLRPGLE programs

Subject: Plea from a old lost RPG/400 war horse

Hi y'all,
I've been dropped into RPG LE after many years of not coding. I'm trying to
make a one line change to an existing SQLRPGLE program. Just trying to
change the value of a field with a move op. The source has a H spec with
BNDDIR and a value (gulp!) when I do a 14 from good old wrkmbrpdm, it does
not like the dftactgrp setting. I poked around and found the crtbndrpg
command (double gulp!). When I run it with *no in dftactgrp, I get errors
on a /exec sql. Its a nice little sql statement, and I don't think it
deserves such harsh treatment. I looked at the archives at midrange.com,
and found I'm way behind on lotta stuff. Any general (especially thumbnail)
or specific advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Doug Griffin
