Even worse....I can do it using embedded SQL to dynamically put all of it
together....

I wrote an embedded SQL process to "wrap-around" the HSSF service program Scott
provided. So I have a command interface I pass the file & lib to the command &
leave it to the machine to do the grunt work. Why write 5 billion programs
using the service program when it can be done in one shot???

Thanks,
Tommy Holden

Do you mean that you can create say a 20,000 x 30 with RPG+POI in a
reasonable time ?

> Also meant to mention that some of the spreadsheets created contain up to
50 sheets with various number of rows. I can't see any limitations or
issues with more than 1000 rows...actually I think it performs rather
nicely. This process can generate the entire workbook in less than 2
minutes & that's including all processes to build the work data for which
the sheets are crated from..
