This particular error is because the parenthesis performs a special
function in QShell.  Instead of passing the parenthesis to Java, it's
trying to interpret it itself.

I didn't think you could pass an argument this way to Java.  But then, I'm
no Java guru.  Still, you might try something like this:

  java com.Ostermiller.util.Browser.displayURL http://www.yahoo.com
