Matthew, I think you got a couple of good answers to your question, so I
won't bother repeating that. I just wanted to welcome you and THANK YOU for
doing what many of us forget to do before posting on the list - search the
archives, try it on your own, and give details & relevant code when you are
stumped.

The only niggle was that the code you posted was "crunched" together,
probably something that your mail client did, or the copy/paste function you
used. I could make out the D-specs ok, but this:

    CMD='CPYTOIMPF FROMFILE('+Clientlib+'/'+%trim(FFILE_PRM)+
   >
    ') TOSTMF('+%TRIM(TFILE_PRM)+') MBROPT(*REPLACE) +

    STMFCODPAG(*PCASCII) RCDDLM(*CRLF) STRDLM(*NONE) +

    FLDDLM(X''05'')';

had me going for a bit. I noticed the '+' signs in the FROMFILE and TOSTMF
parameters threw me, and I'd guess you modified the code prior to posting.
When dealing with syntax-type of errors, it's best to post your code
verbatim.

Just curious, did your college have an AS/400 for educational purposes? If
it did, would you mind naming the school?
