That's not exactly accurate. As I understand it, if an ILE PROGRAM run in the *DFTACTGRP, it will behave like an OPM program. The issue comes in when a *SRVPGM is used in the *DFTACTGRP (via ACTGRP(*CALLER) ). That's when the resources won't be released.
