I don't think it's tabs.  The hex is exactly the same
(between a good record and a bad record) except there
are fewer blanks (x'40').

I've had trouble with net.data macros that were edited
with some pc editors - the macro couldn't be parsed.
Couldn't see anything wrong and wound up re-keying the
macro.

With my current problem I have no control over how the
file is created.

The problem is on the 4th line of the hex output. 
There are fewer blanks.  But when displayed in Notepad
and with EDTF, it displays correctly.  In debug, it
displays how the hex shows it should display.
